The MacArthur Memorial is a museum, research center and library dedicated to the story of the life of General Douglas MacArthur. It is also a tribute to those who served with him. Admission is free.
The memorial is at 198 Bank Street, Norfolk, Virginia. It is directly across the street from the MacArthur Square Tide light rail station.
A theater in the memorial shows a short documentary film every half-hour. It makes use of newsreel footage and animations. Highly recommended.
Their website offers a virtual tour for those who can't make the trip. They also have podcasts about history.
